Stainless Steel Insulated Bottles—Before First Use
A slight stainless steel odor in a new bottle is normal. Place fresh lemon peel or citrus peel inside, add hot water, soak for about 40 minutes, then discard the water and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Stainless Steel Hot-Water Pots—Before First Use
Wash thoroughly with a sponge and neutral detergent. Fill the pot to about 80% with clean water, bring it to a boil, reduce the heat and continue heating for about 10 minutes. Discard the water, wipe the interior with a clean cloth and allow it to air-dry.
If orange-brown spots appear after use, they may be mineral deposits from the water. Soak for 30 minutes with white vinegar diluted 1:10 in warm water, then wash thoroughly.
